ADMISSION
The first step to enter a
child of any age into Thomas Adewumi International College is for
parents to complete the Registration Form. We will then inform you
of the procedures to follow.
Candidates,
who should be 11 years of age, will take an Entrance Examination
that includes assessment in Mathematics, English Language, Science
and Social Studies. We have Examination Centres in Lagos, Abuja,
Warri, Port Harcourt, Lokoja, Ilorin and Ibadan as well as here
at the College in Oko.
The Principal determines
the pass mark for the Examination in consultation with the Examiners
and it will necessary for the Candidate to also pass an oral interview
in order to be granted admission.
As students will be living
communally in a Boarding School it is essential that parents make
their children aware of the basic rules of personal hygiene and
cleanliness as well as the ability to look after and fend for themselves.
As an international college
it is our policy to admit students from diverse and cultural backgrounds
that reflect not only the ethnic diversity of Nigeria but of the
world.
We are a coeducational college
whose ethos is based on the tenets of Christianity. We do, however,
welcome students of all denominations and faiths but ask them to
note that all Assemblies and Chapel Services will observe Christian
doctrines. Individual personal devotion in other faiths is allowed.
