We are planning an eleven
day tour to the United Kingdom in July/August next year. Hopefully
this will combine a choir tour as well if we have sufficient numbers.

Tour of the University City of Oxford
Rehearsal and Concert at Christchurch Cathedral, Oxford
3rd August
Visit to Blenheim Palace
Rehearsal and Concert at Bradfield College
4th August
Visit to the Roman Town of Cirencester
Rehearsal and Concert in Cirencester Parish Church
5th August
Visit to the University City of Cambridge
Rehearsal and Concert in Great St. Mary’s Church

Attend Morning Service at Westminster Abbey

I am sure you will agree that this is a wonderful
opportunity and a great programme and when you consider the price
is a real bargain!! Choir members will be accompanied by members
of the College Academic Staff and myself and there may be one or
two places available for interested parents.
The total cost per person is N450,000.00

If you wish your child to be included on
this tour then you will need to be aware of the following payment
schedule which must be strictly adhered to:
• Fill in the attached slip and return it to me on 29th
October together with a Bank Draft payable to Thomas Adewumi International
College for N50,000.00
• Second Payment by Bank Draft of N100,000.00 on Saturday,
9th December 2006
• Third Payment by Bank Draft of N150,000.00 on Saturday,
17th February 2007
• Final payment of N150,000 by Bank Draft on Saturday, 31st
March 2007

to do so.

WAEC
EXAMINATION RESULTS 2006
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to last year’s Graduating
Class and their teachers on the OUTSTANDING Examinations
passes achieved in the WAEC Examinations.
They scored an overall pass-rate
of 98.1% which is an improvement of 6%
on the results of 2005.
Particular note must be made of the following:
• Julius Adebayo’s
seven (7) AI Grades
• A 100% pass-rate
(Grades A-C) in the following subjects:
(i) Mathematics
(ii) Physics
(iii) English Literature
(iv) Chemistry
(v) Agricultural Science
(vi) Further Mathematics
(vii) Geography
(viii) Yoruba
(ix) Technical Drawing
• The twenty-eight
(28) Grade AI passes in Geography
These are

AND NECO RESULTS
Waec Original Certificates
for the Graduating classes of 2003 and 2004 are available with the
Principal of the College. Students of these classes should, without
delay, come for their Certificates at no cost.
The 2005 Graduating class
can also see the Principal for their Cambridge "O" Level,
WAEC and NECO Statement of Results.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to JuliusAdebayo(SS3)
who won the Zonal Finals of the NNPC National Quiz in Nassarawa
State, competiting against Benue, Niger, Nassarawa, Kogi, Plateau
States and FCT Abuja.
Julius now heads for Abuja
for the National Finals.

CONGRATULATIONS
Julius
ADEBAYO (SS3) and Segun
AFOLABI (SS3) who represented Kwara State in the Finals
of the National Science Olympiad in Abuja between 14-17 September.
Julius won the GOLD Medal and will be flying to
Jakarta, Indonesia for the International Competition in
December. Segun won the Bronze Medal.
Congratulations also to last
year’s JSS3 pupils who gained an overall 98.75%
pass rate in their JSS3 National Examinations.

AWARDS
The following students have
won State and National Awards during this Academic Year to date:
Sunday Abolarin (SS3)
and Oluyinka Ige (SS3) participated in
the 2004 National JETS Mathematics and Science Competition. Sunday
was placed 1st and Oluyinka 5th.
Sunday went on to represent Kwara State and his
brilliant performance (1st Place) in the 2005 Kwara State JETS Quiz
and Projects Competition qualified him to represent the State in
the National Competition in Akure, Ondo State
Boluwatife Ade Dosumu
(SS3) and Sunday Abolarin (SS3) were winners
for Kwara State of the 2004/2005 NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club Secondary
Schools Essay Competition. They went to Abuja for the Award Ceremony.
Uanhoro James (JSS3)
came 1st in the Cowbell Math’s Competition held at
State level. He went on to represent the College at National level
in Abuja where he was placed 5th out of the 36 States with 94%.
winning a total of N20,000.00
Temitayo Ajiboye
(JSS3) was placed 5th in the Peak Mother of the Year Essay
Competition winning a Bursary of N10,000.00
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has named Thomas
Adewumi International College to “be amongst the
seven most elite schools in the country” in the PUNCH Newspaper
of Friday, 4th February 2005.
